If everyone struggles with this, why do chazal call it the worst aveira in the Torah, surely Hashem doesn't come with complaints on His creations?

The Torah doesn't clearly forbid it perhaps because of this very reason, that Hashem knows that everyone will struggle with it... But Hashem gave it over to the chachamim to make very strong statements about it so that we work on it, as the Rambam writes: לאיים ולהפחיד But we shouldn't take everything chazal say at face value. Chazal use very strong לשונות sometimes. Some examples:

Do you know anyone who never got angry, spoke lashon hara or was mevatel Torah?

So obviously these statements are not to be taken literally, but rather they are true on some level. If chazal wouldn't use strong leshonos who would ever work on it? It's such a strong tayva!
