Marlatt (2002)

  1. Stop, look, and listen.
  2. Carry out the Lapse Management Plan
  3. Keep Calm.
  4. Renew Commitment.
  5. Review the situation leading up to the lapse.

Maltz (2008)

  1. Stop what you are doing and admit you are in a danger zone. (Similar to Marlatt 1985 #1)
  2. Get away from porn thoughts and materials. (also included in 1985 #1 and #5)
  3. Calm yourself physiologically and emotionally. (Marlatt 1985 #2)
  4. Reach out for supportive help as quickly as possible. (Marlatt 2002 #6)
  5. Reaffirm your commitment to your recovery (Marlatt 1985 #3)
